Breast Cancer Study Quantifies Risk
A study released Thursday says that women who inherit a mutation in so-called breast cancer genes have an 80 percent chance of developing breast cancer sometime in their lives. While that figure is striking, scientists warn that it remains to be determined what causes the remaining 90 percent of breast cancer cases that are not related to the mutation.
