Mineral on Mars Offers Clues to Climate
The Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft detects the mineral olivine in the Nili Fossae region of Mars. Scientists believe that olivine, a green mineral, may hold clues to past climate changes on the red planet. NPR's Joe Palca reports.
