Congressional Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, disagree sharply with President Bush's defense of the occupation of Iraq. During a Tuesday news conference, the president defended the American presence in Iraq by saying the increasing severity of attacks on U.S.-led forces proves the campaign's success. NPR's David Welna reports.
