In Mississippi's gubernatorial race, Republican candidate Haley Barbour can count on his friends in the GOP ranks and the White House. But Democratic incumbent Gov. Ronnie Musgrove has turned these connections against his competitor. He accuses Barbour of being a Washington, D.C., lobbyist who cares little about the state. The battle has become the most expensive gubernatorial race in Mississippi history. NPR's Debbie Elliott reports.
