Military Outsourcing Questioned
More than 10,000 private military subcontractors are working for the U.S. State and Defense Departments throughout the world. The Bush administration says outsourcing is cost-effective and necessary. But some critics question the accounting and the accountability of privatizing parts of national security. NPR's Eric Westervelt reports.
