The U.S. military has authorized alternative methods for playing "Taps" at military funerals and events, which include the use of electronic bugles. The switch incited an emotional response that prompted more than 2,000 buglers to register with the group Bugles Across America. The organization says veterans deserve to hear "Taps" played at their funeral by a real person.
