China Gives AIDS High Profile
Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao marks World AIDS Day by meeting with AIDS patients in a Beijing hospital. It's the first time a senior Chinese leader has made such a public display in the fight against AIDS. The visit is seen as an indication that the Chinese government is beginning to take the AIDS epidemic seriously. Hear NPR's Rob Gifford.
