Liberia Begins Disarming Rebels

Liberia starts a program to disarm an estimated 55,000 rebel fighters, part of its efforts to end 14 years of civil war. Disarmament efforts met with setbacks last week, when warring factions refused to lay down their weapons until a dispute over government appointments was resolved. NPR's Bob Edwards talks with U.N. envoy to Liberia Jacques Paul Klein.
