India's Nuclear Deal with U.S. Threatened

India is becoming doubtful about a landmark nuclear energy accord with the United States, expressing difficulties finalizing the deal amid opposition mainly to closer ties with the U.S. The accord would reverse three decades of American anti-proliferation policy by allowing the U.S. to send nuclear fuel and technology to India, which has been cut off from the global atomic trade. Somini Sengupta, South Asia Bureau Chief for The New York Times, speaks with Steve Inskeep.
