Director Ed Zwick is a big fan of Akira Kurosawa, the director of Samurai epics like The Seventh Samurai and Throne of Blood. Zwick has now made a picture that's a kind of homage to such films. NPR's Bob Mondello says The Last Samurai, starring Tom Cruise, might be one of the three worst films of the year.
