Singer-composer Nick Cave composed the soundtrack for last year's The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford; he also wrote the screenplay and the soundtrack for The Proposition. Now, Cave has released a new CD with his band the Bad Seeds: Dig!!! Lazarus Dig!!!

Nick Cave made a lot of noise in the post-punk era of the 1980s with his previous band, The Birthday Party. Since then, Cave formed Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, and his sound has mellowed a bit. But his work still features biblical references, murder, and love portrayed as an epic battle. The 45-year-old former heroin addict has a family now and he says the subject of his songs is usually "love, love and more love."
