Former Vice President Al Gore gives Democratic presidential hopeful Dr. Howard Dean his endorsement Tuesday. Gore's decision to support Dean, whose campaign rhetoric paints him as a Washington outsider, is expected to give Dean some "insider" clout among Democrats. In making his decision, Gore snubbed his running mate from 2000, Sen. Joe Lieberman. NPR's Robert Smith reports.
