San Francisco Chronicle book critic David Kipen reviews Living to Tell the Tale, a new memoir by novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Kipen says the vivid story of Marquez's real life makes it clear where the Nobel Prize-winning author found inspiration for his work.
