Many immigrants are unhappy with the low-skilled work they find in the U.S., despite being respected professionals in their home countries. For the past few years, a tiny nonprofit has been trying to teach them to market their skills and help companies see the value of such employees. Upwardly Global has offices in San Francisco and New York, and plans to open a third in Chicago in February.
