Valdez Study Reinforces Fears About Toxic Spills

A study in the journal Science finds the impact of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska have been more broad and long-lasting than originally expected. The research concludes that these findings also apply to smaller toxic spills in other locations. NPR's Elizabeth Arnold reports.
