Frankfort, Illinois firefighter Dave Chambers rescued several animals, including a kitten that wasn't breathing. He went beyond the call, and revived the cat using mouth to mouth resuscitation. In Muncie, Indiana, a pet parrot proved it works both ways. When a fire broke out, he saved his sleeping humans by imitating a smoke detector.
