Beef Experts Argue Nerve Tissue Risks
Many slaughterhouses seeking to increase efficiency are using machines designed to remove all remnants of meat from cattle. Some experts are concerned that the process could possibly allow small amounts of dangerous nerve tissue to be incorporated into rendered meat. Beef industry officials maintain that USDA inspection processes are safe and adequate.
