Over the Rhine has taken on a variety of forms since it was founded in 1989, but it's recently been reduced to the husband-and-wife duo of Linford Detweiler (bass, piano, guitar) and Karin Bergquist (guitar, vocals). Hear the bittersweet folk-pop band perform a concert from WXPN and the Whitaker Center in Harrisburg, Pa.

Since the release of its first disc, 1991's Till We Have Faces, Over the Rhine has released a string of critically acclaimed and cultishly admired albums. The latest, this summer's Trumpet Child, once again draws on Bergquist's soulful, emotional vocals. The duo collaborated with Nashville producer and arranger Brad Jones to produce a provocative and imaginative 10th album.
