Rose Owns Up to Betting on Baseball

Dropping his long-standing denials, Pete Rose is admitting he bet on baseball while manager of the Cincinnati Reds. In an autobiography being released this week, Rose says he was a high-stakes gambler — but adds that he never bet against his own team. Rose is hoping the admission will end his ban from Major League Baseball. NPR's Tom Goldman reports.
