Senate Panel OKs Bill to Cut Greenhouse Gases

A Senate panel approved a bill Thursday that aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than half by 2050.

Supporters say it would make the United States a leader in addressing global warming, but critics say the measure falls short of what's needed.
