O'Neill Takes White House to Task
Paul O'Neill, President George W. Bush's former treasury secretary, is the first top-level administration insider to publicly criticize the Bush White House. O'Neill, who was forced out a year ago, says in a new book that the Bush team was discussing invading Iraq nearly eight months prior to the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks. The White House has dismissed the O'Neill book and said it will have no further response. NPR's Don Gonyea reports.
