Declassified documents from the Johnson presidency shed new light on the 1967 Israeli attack on a U.S. Navy intelligence ship. The attack, which killed 34 U.S. sailors on the USS Liberty, occurred during Israel's Six Day War with its Arab neighbors, when the Liberty patrolled international waters near Egypt. Israel has maintained the attack was an accident. NPR's Vicky O'Hara reports.
