Joseph Lowerey, co-founder of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference; Christine King Farris, sister of Martin Luther King Jr., author of My Brother Martin: A Sister Remembers Growing Up with the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and director of the Learning Resources Center at Spelman College; Sam Massell, former Atlanta mayor and president of the Buckhead Coalition; and Xernona Clayton, a documentary producer. Smiley also talks with David Garrow, professor of Law at Emory University's law school and King biographer; Vernon Jones, CEO of DeKalb County; and Shirley Franklin, Atlanta's first woman mayor.
