Iowa leads off the voting season, but it doesn't do it with a vote. Instead, the citizens gather in precinct meetings called caucuses, where they talk about the candidates and make their commitments in public. NPR's Ken Rudin reports from Iowa on preparations for the first big political event of the presidential election year.
