Cingular Makes Bid on AT&T Wireless

Cingular Wireless makes a $27 billion cash offer to buy AT&T Wireless, which has lost market share in the mobile phone industry in recent years. Combining the two companies would create the nation's largest wireless service provider, with more than 45 million customers. Hear NPR's Jim Zarroli.
