WHO Fears Bird Flu Epidemic

The World Health Organization institutes an emergency plan to prevent a worldwide avian influenza epidemic in humans. The move follows at least five deaths from the disease in Vietnam. WHO officials say the bird flu strain circulating in southeastern Asia has been responsible for large human epidemics in the past. Hear NPR's Bob Edwards and Klaus Stohr of the WHO.
