Are Americans Lawsuit Happy?

A Newsweek cover story last month argued that Americans are too litigious, overwhelming our courts with frivolous lawsuits. Consumer advocate groups across the country are outraged by the notion that invoking the right to a fair trial is an abuse of the legal system. Legal reformer Philip K. Howard and citizen advocate Joanne Doroshow join NPR's Tony Cox to discuss this controversial issue.
