Remembering Dutch Track Star Fanny Blankers-Koen
NPR's Robert Siegel talks to filmmaker Bud Greenspan about Dutch sprinter Fanny Blankers-Koen, who died Sunday in Holland of complications from Alzheimer's Disease at age 85. Blankers-Koen was the female star of Dutch track and field in the 1930s and '40s. Her high point came at the 1948 Olympic Games, where she won four gold medals.
