R. Kelly's Image Award Nomination Protested

A coalition of civil rights leaders held a news conference last Friday to announce their opposition to singer R. Kelly's NAACP Image Award nomination. Early last year, R. Kelly was charged with child pornography. The 35th annual NAACP Image Awards will air March 11, 2004.
