Behind the Scenes at O'Hare Airport

The day before Thanksgiving is to an airport what the day after Thanksgiving is to a shopping mall: a lot of customers, but a lot of traffic and chaos, too.

During one of the busiest weeks of the year at one of the busiest airports in the country — Chicago's O'Hare International Airport — NPR goes behind the scenes in an operations center to see how employees at American Airlines manage the logistics of getting planes to gates, people to planes, and luggage to planes and people.
