Shoppers who need gift ideas and ways to save money may find hope from television infomercials. Ron Popeil, the king of the infomericals and catchphrases for every gadget, has already sold more than $1 billion worth of rotisserie ovens. His latest kitchen must-have is a turkey deep fryer. "I'm an amateur chef and I do know how to cook. I think on the turkey end of it I've done over 170 turkeys. That's a lot of turkeys," he says.
