Simon Wrote Songs for Classic Film

Singer-songwriter Paul Simon, along with partner Art Garfunkel, wrote most of the songs used in The Graduate, including The Sounds of Silence, Mrs. Robinson and Scarborough Fair.

Their work on the film was recognized when they won a Grammy for Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture.

After Simon and Garfunkel split up in 1970, Simon continued writing songs and took up a solo singing career. His albums include The Essential Paul Simon, Still Crazy After All These Years, Graceland and Rhythm of the Saints. (Original airdate: 12/11/00)
