Poverty and Neglect in Russia's Far East
NPR's Lawrence Sheets reports that Russia's far eastern region is becoming that country's most economically depressed area. During the height of the former Soviet Union regime, the government poured money into the region -- but now, residents complain that Russia's new democratic leadership is ignoring them.
