Anna Maria Friman, Linn Andrea Fuglseth and Torunn Østrem Ossum of trio mediaeval.
Founded in Oslo in 1997, trio mediaeval has developed three distinct strands of repertoire: polyphonic medieval music from England and France, contemporary works and Norwegian medieval ballads and songs.
The group recently performed at NPR, and Performance Today host Fred Child spoke with them about their music. Below is a list of the songs performed by the ensemble.
- Gloria from "Alma redemptoris mater," a mass by 15th century British composer Leonel Power
- Ave regina gloriousa, written by contemporary British composer Gavin Bryars in 2003
- Ave maria, written by composer Andrew Smith in 2000
- Kyrie, written by Ukranian composer Oleh Harkavyy in 2002
