It's been 30 years since the passing of opera legend Maria Callas, the voice the world came to know as La Divina.

This week, a stash of the soprano's personal effects goes on auction in Milan, Italy. The musical scores, dresses and love letters offer a glimpse of the private passions of the opera diva whose voice enchanted millions.

The items are being released by the estate of Callas' late husband, Giovanni Battista Meneghini.
