Papertrigger

The Philadelphia five piece, Papertrigger, produce raw, energetic rock sound that's epic and sometimes eerie. Pounding drums and larger-than-life group vocals push their way through the mix to create a wildly aggressive and enormous sound.

The five tracks on their debut EP Riot Lovers leave a lasting impression. With titles like "We Are Nations Now" and "The Late Roman Republic," the group has an anthemic, marching feel. The album opens with the forceful "We Are Nations Now". Chris Manglos exclaims "raise 'em proud / raise 'em high / raise your fist to the sky / now that we are nations now". The track "Sidereal" ends the EP with ghostly piano playing under a dark melody.

Papertrigger's memorable live performances brought the band some buzz at their 2007 CMJ showcase. They were also featured as Artist of the Day on Spin.com.
