This may sound familiar this time of year: You're at the checkout counter of your favorite department store. The clerk makes you an offer you don't want to refuse — a hefty discount on your purchases if you open up a store line of credit.

Bill Spriggs explains how to make the most of holiday teaser rates without ruining your credit score.
