Coast Guard Swimmer Describes Rescue
Dave Foreman is the 24-year-old Coast Guard Petty Officer who braved contaminated waters to save six survivors of a tanker that exploded off the Atlantic Coast Saturday. The Bow Mariner, a tanker carrying 3.5 million gallons of ethanol, exploded and sank Saturday night about 50 miles off Virginia's eastern shore. Three men died and six were rescued. NPR's Melissa Block talks with Foreman.
