Feds Aim to Help Immigrants Assimilate

The Department of Homeland Security establishes an office to help immigrants integrate into U.S. culture by offering practical advice, as well as programs aimed at promoting loyalty and civic action. The move comes amid worries that America's large population of Spanish-speaking immigrants could become an alienated, permanent underclass. Hear NPR's Jennifer Ludden.
