Congress Weighs Reinstating Superfund Tax

The Senate may vote Thursday on a plan to reinstate a polluter tax on oil and chemical companies. Revenues from the tax would be used to pay for the cleanup of Superfund sites across the country. Since Congress stopped the tax in 1995, efforts to clean up toxic industrial waste-sites have experienced significant delays. NPR's Allison Aubrey reports.
