As part of NPR's series on "The Ones That Got Away," we highlight three TV shows from 2007 that didn't get the ratings they might have deserved.

Mad Men was a drama series on AMC about the advertising business in the 1960s. Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel is a reality show about one of the world's most dangerous jobs: driving trucks across Canada's Northwest Territory, just miles from the Arctic Circle. And finally, Merv Griffin's Crosswords became the first old-fashioned syndicated game show to hit the dial in years.
