As Spain's prime minister-elect warns he may pull Spain's troops out of Iraq, the Bush administration focuses on damage control. U.S. officials say the U.S.-Spanish alliance goes far beyond Iraq, and insist Spain continues to be a strong ally in the war on terrorism — an assertion many Washington insiders dispute. NPR's Michele Kelemen reports.
