Violence following Kenya's disputed election has killed hundreds of people and displaced hundreds of thousands. The unrest has sparked a humanitarian crisis in a nation better known for helping its neighbors in crisis.

International aid organizations are scrambling to get to those in need of shelter and medical aid.

Western Kenya has been particularly hard hit by ethnic bloodletting.
