It is hard to know how many people actually heard all 15 hours of testimony at the recent Sept. 11 commission hearings. Some might think that New Yorkers, those closest to ground zero, paid the most attention. But as WNYC's Andrea Berstein learned, there were some New Yorkers who didn't pay attention to the hearings, some who did and those who found the whole thing just too painful.
