National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice is testifying today before the panel investigating the U.S. government's response to terrorism before and after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and World Trade Center. White House officials are hoping that she will put to rest questions about the administration's response to warnings about al Qaeda. NPR's Tavis Smiley takes a closer look with Sheldon Rampton, co-author of the book Weapons of Mass Deception, and Michelle Bernard, a senior fellow at the Independent Women's Forum in Washington, D.C.
