Canadian Baroque Ensemble Performs Handel, Bach, Telemann

Listen to Tafelmusik Live

April 9, 2004 - The Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra & Chamber Choir was founded in Toronto 25 years ago by an oboist and a bassoonist who wanted to try out some new ideas they picked up while studying baroque music in the Netherlands. Today Tafelmusik is alive and well, and celebrating its silver anniversary.

NPR's Fred Child recenlty welcomed the ensemble to Studio 4A for a performance and conversation with Jeanne Lamon, music director of Tafelmusik since 1981. Below is the playlist for the performance.

- Concerto Grosso Op. 3, No. 2, Handel

- Brandenberg Concerto No. 3, Bach

- Tafelmusik (excerpts), Telemann
