Actress Kerry Washington and actor Chris Tucker pose for a photo after talking to News & Notes.
Starting today, News & Notes is broadcasting from South Carolina in time for the state's primary.
First, we head to the historically black Benedict College and hears student perspectives on the election.
Then, we catch up with celebrities Chris Tucker and Kerry Washington at a political rally.
Washington, who has endorsed Sen. Barack Obama, said her choice did not come easily.
"It's been a really tough decision for me," she said. "I consider myself a feminist. I kept thinking, 'Where should my allegiance be?' I had to step back and go, 'This is not about identity.' This is about values and principles and a track record. That made me turn toward Barack Obama."
