Jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd and drummer Billy Higgins were life-long friends and musical partners. Higgins died in 2001, shortly after recording one last album with his musical soul mate. That collaboration, Which Way Is East?, has now been released. Ashley Kahn reports.
