Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards won the South Carolina primary in 2004, a victory he was unable to repeat in Saturday's contest. Despite the defeat, Edwards vows to continue his campaign, points to recent successes in fundraising and reiterates that the presidential nomination is a "long process."
