Video: Ida plays for the 'BPP'

January 28, 2008 - The band Ida — that's the romantic and musical duo Daniel Littleton and Elizabeth Mitchell — has a split personality: They're indie rock, and they record some pretty lovely children's music too.

Their new album Lovers Prayers drops Tuesday, and they stopped by BPP studios in New York to play us songs songs from both of their personas. They brought along their daughter Storey for what was easily the cutest 13 minutes in the history of the Bryant Park Project.

"It occurred to me just the other day that we've been doing music with children for as long as Ida's been a band," says Littleton. "I don't think we ever made some kind of conscious decision about doing it as a career or anything like that. For me, they're so connected."
